Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Vintage

Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Vintage

from 330.00

A Champagne that is not only Grand Cru, but also a Blanc de Blancs and a vintage … what else could one ask for? This type-A Champagne is produced from the laborious efforts of Pierre Vazart, a passionate winemaker who respects the environment and the traditions of the region of Champagne.

“THIS CHAMPAGNE IS COMPLEX AND ALIVE, ALMOST SALTY ON THE PALETTE. THE 2012 VINTAGE WILL BECOME ONLY INCREASINGLY MORE EVOLVED AND INTERESTING IN THE UPCOMING YEARS.”

Fabien Vullion, Head Sommelier at Restaurant Antoine (1 Michelin star)

Meet the winemaker!

Since 1995, Jean-Pierre Vazart has been the official third generation of the domain. He continues on with the legacy of the brand created in 1954 by Louis and Marie Vazart-Coquart, his grand-parents, and Jacques Vazart, his father who developed the style of the Champagne House. Situated near Chouilly in the Côtes des Blancs, the domaine makes a classic Blanc de Blancs style. Jean-Pierre is a pioneer in sustainable viticulture practices and has begun the process of converting his domain to becoming fully organic.

History of your parcel

La Cerisière offers a panoramic view of the city of Épernay at the Montaigu Pavillion. This is one of the most photographed monuments in the region of Champagne. Thanks to its chalky soil, typical of the region of the Côtes des Blancs, it is a site that produces amazing chardonnays. This parcel of chardonnay is then used in a blend of other Grand Cru sites to make an exceptional wine. Its 70 hectares contain some of the best terroir in the Grand Cru village of Chouilly. The family has lived here for several generations.
