Grand Cru Rosé "Les Hauts Barceaux"

Grand Cru Rosé "Les Hauts Barceaux"

from 320.00

This rosé is rather atypical: only the grapes coming from the tiny parcel of Hauts Barceaux within the Louvois Grand Cru are used to make it. The rosé is then barrel-aged for 11 months. This gives the Champagne an elegant yet complex freshness.

“WITHIN THIS ROSÉ COMING FROM THE HAUTS BARCEAUX WE SEE THE BURGUNDIAN INFLUENCE THAT GUILLAUME LEJEUNE HAS BROUGHT OVER TO THE REGION OF CHAMPAGNE. THIS IS A ROSÉ FOR A WINE LOVER, FRESH AND EASY-DRINKING.”

Fabien Vullion, Head Sommelier of Restaurant Antoine (1 Michelin star)

Guillaume Le Jeune.jpg

Meet the winemaker!

The vine is this family’s passion. Guillaume Lejeune took over the exploitation from his father Jean after having studied in Beaune in a domain near the region of Mercurey. Guillaume brought a little of Burgundy with him to Champagne, and his wines show the influence of these two wine regions.

History of your parcel

The rosé comes exclusively from this parcel of 10.5 hectares. The Pinot Noir coming from the Hauts Barceaux looks over the valley of Louvois, as well as the lovely descent into the city of Épernay. These vines produce an exceptional and unique Grand Cru Rosé.
