Chinon - Cabernet Franc
Chinon - Cabernet Franc
The wine of the Trois Quartiers is a blend of three different parcels of old-age vine Cabernet Franc from the Domaine Jourdan et Pichard. Raspberry red fruits made more complex with a bell-peppery earthiness make this a wonderful representation of Cabernet Franc from the Chinon region.
“THIS CHINON, GRACED WITH BEAUTIFUL TANNINS, WILL GO WONDERFULLY WITH A MEAT-BASED DISH. A CLASSIC REPRESENTATION FROM THIS REGION, THIS IS A WINE THAT CAN AGE IN THE CELLAR FOR UP TO 10 YEARS.”
Bernard Neveu, Head Sommelier of Bristol Palace - Restaurant Épicure (3 Michelin stars)
When you adopt your 6 vine plants that produce this Chinon, you will receive either 7 or 12 bottles: 1 or 6 bottles of the most recent vintage (2015), then at the end of the adoption year, 6 bottles of the following vintage (2016).

This wine is made for you if...
You like your dinners to stand out with a meaty/juicy wine straight from the Loire. You can enjoy this immediately upon buying. However, set aside a couple bottles in the cellar and you’ll be dazzled by its evolution.
Meet the winemaker!
Domaine Jourdan et Pichard was created in 2012 when the two families Jourdan and Pichard decided to collaborate. Annick and Francis Jourdan took over the day-to-day dealings of the winery which had been run by Philippe Pichard and his family for generations. The two novice winemakers have learned from Philippe and continue the Pichard family tradition to this day. For example, they remain organic, a practice put in place several years before their arrival. They are also biodynamic. Active and curious, Annick and Francis have made the lovely region of Chinon their home forever.
