Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "La Garenne" - Chardonnay

Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "La Garenne" - Chardonnay

from 380.00

Fresh and acidic, with notes of grapefruit, green apple, brioche, and a consistent minerality, this Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru is without a doubt the star wine of Domaine Barolet-Pernot.

“IT IS AMAZING TO FIND A PULIGNY-MONTRACHET 1ER CRU THAT IS SO PUT TOGETHER. THROUGH ITS WONDERFUL AROMATIC COMPLEXITY, ONE CAN GLEAN THAT THIS WINE HAS BEEN AGED TO PERFECTION. THEREFORE, THIS WINE IS READY TO DRINK NOW, BUT IT CAN AGE FOR UP TO ANOTHER 5 TO 10 YEARS.”

Bernard Neveu, Head Sommelier of Bristol - Restaurant Épicure (3 Michelin stars)

Meet the winemaker!

A Romain based in Saint-Romain! This young winemaker got his start in 2015 when he started to work at the domain his grandfather André Barolet opened with his grandmother Huguette Pernot years earlier. Thanks to Romain's fresh set of eyes, the domain is developing and modernizing. The upcoming harvests will be processed by the new press and winery.
